Last Saturday, October 4, Woodside Plantation residents, employees, prospective neighbors, and their friends and family all joined together for an evening of celebration and fellowship in honor of the grand opening of Woodside’s newest neighborhood and park, Summer Hill. The more than 250 guests gathered at Summer Hill Park, enjoying the beautiful blue skies and cool temperatures that come with early fall in Aiken, and talking about their plans to utilize the new pond for fishing, picnics, walks, and more!
The Home Cookin’ band took the stage, playing crowd favorites of all types- from soul to oldies to beach music. While listening to the band, which perfectly complemented the “Southern home cooking buffet” provided by The Reserve Club, I had the chance to speak with Nita Martin, there accompanying her friend Shirley that currently lives in Woodside. Nita, who spent more than forty years in the commercial construction industry in Illinois, said “I’ve driven through Woodside before and it’s lovely, but this is just stunning! I didn’t realize you all have so much fun!” She also added while looking over our home plans, “I’ve been in construction for a long time, so I look more closely at details and design- and this even impresses me.”
Summer Hill Park, a beautifully lush and landscaped community amenity, features a fountain and stone pavilion, community lake, and peaceful lighted walking path that connects into the Woodside network of walking trails. There are currently twelve homesites that have been released in the neighborhood, that share gorgeous views of both the park, and the 15th hole of our award-winning Nicklaus Design golf course.
Thank you to everyone that came out to celebrate this fantastic occasion with us! Be sure to take a look below for pictures of our stunning new park, and for more information on Summer Hill, call us today at 888-344-7009.
